Fish ants early, hoppers as the banks warm, then shade-line ants and hoppers in the evening.
When
6-8:30 AM and 6-8 PM. Midday grassy-bank hopper fishing can still be worth it.
Water
Grassy banks, shade-to-light edges, undercuts, boulder shade, and clean foam lines.
If slow
If dry flies slow down, try a white/green streamer #4-8 or downsize to ants and beetles.
